Mission Statement and Philosophy

Little Darlings Childcare Learning Center’s mission is to provide outstanding early education and childcare to all children. We are committed to being a model program responsive to the changing needs of all children, parents, staff, and community. The center’s goal is to provide high-quality, affordable early care and education program for children birth through school-age, opportunities for parent involvement, and continued professional development for staff. Building positive relationships is considered fundamental and essential for the well-being of all children. The program supports a strong working relationship among children, teachers, parents, and the community.

We believe that children, their families and society all benefit from a high-quality, early childhood program and that there is a critical link between a child’s early experiences and later successes in life. Research drives the curriculum and program practices, putting child-initiated, play-based learning at the heart of every child’s experience. Children will thrive socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually in the care of talented, well-qualified educators.

Little Darlings Childcare Learning Center’s staff will strive to provide the highest quality childcare and educational service that promotes and enhances each child’s development; while assuring our parent’s peace of mind in the care and service we render.

Little Darlings Childcare Learning Center provides a safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate program which fosters active learning, support the whole child, and a child friendly environment. We invite children to learn in ways that they learn best. Through hands-on guided discovery and opportunities to thrive independently, in an enriching and engaging environment:

  • We foster innovation.

  • We embrace team work.

  • We strive for excellence.

  • We respect and support families.

  • We commit to service at all levels.

  • We respect and appreciate diversity.

  • We actively listen and seek to understand.

  • We communicate openly and productively.

  • We use resources creatively and responsibly.

  • We abide by the NAEYC Code of Ethics and Statement of Commitment.

Our Staff

Children thrive when teachers who are deeply interested in and committed to them surround them. Our teachers enjoy working with children and parents to create a warm and stable environment. All of our teachers are qualified early childhood professionals who meet state licensing standards. They have been selected because of their knowledge and experience in early care and education; their personal educational philosophy; teaching style; and commitment to continued professional growth. Each staff member must pass a thorough background check which includes criminal, comprehensive health examination, professional references, and mandatory state screenings.
